The heritage buildings of Rundle Street East tell the story of a precinct defined by enterprise and change. Emerging from Adelaide’s earliest trading activity, the area developed through markets, hotels, commercial buildings and small businesses that supported a growing city. Together, these places form a built record of the East End’s transition from a working marketplace to a vibrant mixed-use destination.
