Each winter, Adelaide’s East End transforms into one of the city’s most vibrant festival destinations as Illuminate Adelaide returns with a spectacular program of light, art, music and technology.
By night, Rundle Street and its surrounding laneways come alive with immersive light installations, interactive experiences and a festival atmosphere that spills throughout the precinct as part of Rundle Illuminations. Restaurants, bars and boutiques stay buzzing as visitors explore the city’s cultural heart after dark.
Whether you’re making an evening of it with dinner and drinks, wandering through illuminated streets with family, or discovering hidden laneways glowing with art, the East End offers one of the best ways to experience the festival.

Road Closures
During selected festival nights, sections of Rundle Street may be temporarily closed to traffic to accommodate festival activities and outdoor dining. Please check back closer to the event for closure times and access information.
