The Austral Hotel has been a landmark of Adelaide’s East End since the 1880s, combining rich history with one of the precinct’s most enduring pub experiences. Originally built for the South Australian Company in 1880 and known as Cohen’s Family Hotel before becoming the Austral in 1898, the heritage-listed building has played a significant role in Adelaide’s social life for well over a century.

Today, the Austral blends its historic character with a contemporary pub offering.
