Created by internationally acclaimed Irish street artist Fin DAC in 2018, Zaluuokhin is part of the artist’s globally recognised Hidden Beauty series, which celebrates the strength, elegance and individuality of women through striking large-scale portraiture. Painted over three days, the mural has become one of Adelaide’s most photographed works of public art.
The artwork depicts a captivating female figure rendered in Fin DAC’s signature “Urban Aesthetics” style, blending highly detailed portraiture with graphic elements inspired by East Asian art and contemporary street culture. Delicate ornamental forms frame the subject, with the building’s windows intentionally incorporated into the composition, creating a subtle transformation as the artwork comes to life after dark.
