Numskull Mural
Artist
Elliot “Numskull” Routledge
Location
31 Ebenezer Place, Adelaide
Painted by Sydney artist Elliott Routledge, known professionally as Numskull, in 2018, this striking mural transforms the side of Charlick’s Building into a bold composition of colour, geometry and movement. Created as part of Adelaide’s growing street art scene, the work reflects Routledge’s distinctive abstract style, developed over nearly two decades of large-scale mural practice across Australia and internationally.
Rather than depicting a recognisable subject, the mural invites interpretation through layered forms, vibrant colour and graphic shapes. Inspired by the energy and diversity of Ebenezer Place, the composition captures the rhythm of a laneway shaped by creativity, hospitality and independent businesses, encouraging visitors to discover something different with each viewing.
